Installation & Mounting
How do I install the bird feeder?
Start by fully charging the camera and checking Wi-Fi coverage at the location. Then assemble the bird feeder and follow the included manual for setup. The app will guide you through the final steps.
How do I mount it to a wall, tree or pole?
You can mount it in three ways:
- Wall: Use the included positioning sticker, drill holes, and screw the bracket into place.
- Tree: Wrap the strap around the tree and tighten the bracket.
- Pole: Use the sleeve and screws to fix the feeder securely to a pole.
How do I connect the solar panel?
Use the supplied mounting bracket and screws. Attach the solar panel near the feeder and plug it into the camera’s power port. There is also an easy manual for the solar panel in the box.
How do I insert the memory card?
Slide the camera out from the back, open the silicone cover underneath, and insert a micro SD card (up to 512GB). Close the plug and reinsert the camera.
Camera & App Usage
How do I turn the camera on/off?
Hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn it on (blue light = on). Press again for 3 seconds to turn it off.
How do I connect the camera to Wi-Fi?
Turn on the camera, press the power button twice to activate Wi-Fi mode, and follow the app instructions in the Cinmoore app.
Does it support 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
No, the device only supports 2.4 GHz networks. Which 90% of all households have.

Daily Use & Maintenance
How do I refill bird seed?
Lift the magnetic top cover on one side, pour in the bird seed, and close the cover securely.
What do the camera lights mean?
- Red light = Charging
- No light = Fully charged
- Blue light = Powered on
How long does the battery last?
Up to 3 months without charging. With the included solar panel, battery life can reach around 1 year.
Is the camera weatherproof and winter-safe?
Yes, it’s IP65-rated and works in rain, snow, and temperatures from -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F).
Can I use multiple cameras in the same app?
Yes, the Cinmoore app allows you to add and manage multiple HappyBird cameras.
Troubleshooting
Camera won’t turn on
- Is the battery fully charged?
- Try a long press (10 seconds) on the power button.
- Make sure the charging cable and adapter are working.
App won’t connect
- Check if the camera is on and in Wi-Fi mode.
- Confirm you’re on a 2.4 GHz network.
- Restart the device and the app.
- Update to the latest app and firmware version.
Wi-Fi issues
- Check if your password is correct (no special characters).
- Restart your router and try again.
- Double-press the power button to reset the device.
Video/audio issues
- Make sure your signal strength is strong (above -70 dBm).
- Clean the lens and avoid strong sunlight or backlighting.
- Choose the right resolution in the app: Auto, HD, or Smooth.
No birds showing
- Is bird recognition enabled in the app settings?
- Is the feeder placed in a visible, bird-friendly area?
- Is the battery charged and the device connected?

Can I use it without a subscription?
Yes, local storage is free via SD card. Cloud storage is optional.
Does it work with third-party accessories?
It is designed for use with HappyBird accessories. Compatibility with third-party parts is not guaranteed.
